We drove by and bought some breads for take-out. A wonderful selection of French breads. Their bread tasted very light but good aroma of yeast.

This place has a very modern, tasteful interior and a cuisine focused on high quality local ingredients. Dinner set used fresh and delicious local produces. Bread were freshly made and you can takeaway the leftover. I enjoy the panoramic views of Biei scenery while dining. A must visit for those who like to try something different!

Had lunch at Seicomart. We suspiciously eyed these strange packages with interesting names on it, certain that the bread within would be a complete let down. We were wrong! The bread taste good and we even came back to get it again!
The bread is very soft with sweet & creamy filling. 山崎製パン (yamazakipan) was founded in 1948. It’s one of the best-selling breads!

The restaurant is located inside a souvenir shop. Most people come here to visit Mount Rishiri. It’s one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Japan. Also Mt. Rishiri is on the cover of the Shiroi Koibito (white lovers chocolate cookies) box. So after lunch we did the same thing just like others, took a picture of Mt. Rishiri with a box of the Shiroi Koibito!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room rate included breakfast and dinner which was incredible. Courses are served in the same order based on seasonal ingredients. We know Rishiri is famous for Bafun uni. We just didn’t expect to eat so many uni for dinner and breakfast. Felt so spoiled and by the 2nd day we were kind of getting used of that. Totally enjoy overfeeding with uni!

A good place to satisfy your crab cravings. The building facade has the big moving red crab sign. We got to try all sorts of crab – king crab, snow crab, hairy crab, and in all styles. My favorite is hairy crab. It’s the most succulent and sweetest crab meat I have ever tasted. Love the king crab hot pot with porridge at the end of the meal. A must-try when you’re in Sapporo!

Ramen broth was rich and tasty. The noodles were al dente. We got here around 2pm, the line was about 40 minutes wait. The walls and the ceiling are covered with tons of autographs of celebrities. They opened at 11 AM, try to get here before that to avoid the wait. They are very popular!

On our way from Hakodate to Sapporo, we made a day trip to Lake Toya. Lake Hills Farms was one of the piggy stops we made since we heard they are famous for ice cream. The food here is pretty good. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
The interior of the restaurant was very welcoming with a lot of windows overlooking the greenery and farm.

Fun time with good friends. The beer is cold and refreshing. The food was simple, goes well with beer. Worth a visit especially during hot summer nights.
